"Living the Dream" albums!!!

Today I finally invested in the software to make my new

"Living the Dream" package album!!!

Honestly, I put the girls to bed at 8pm and have been sitting here

at the computer just playing with the program for hours!

Above is an example page that I've created of one of my absolute favorite brides.

I plan to have the album finished in about a week and then ordering a copy to show all of my future clients during consultation.

Ahhhhhh, I love my job! Between photography and motherhood, I can't decide which feels more rewarding! I'm living my dream, are you?

Good night everyone :)

Just the Beginning....

After six years of marriage, two daughters and now a son on the way, I adore my life and embrace the simplest of moments. Everything from walking in a warm summer rain with umbrellas and rainboots with the girls to slow dancing in the silence of the living room with my husband, is pure magic.

Photography has always been a passion of mine, but just within the past two years has it become a career. I'm a military brat and have always enjoyed traveling and exploring new places. I met my husband, Glenn, at the young age of seventeen and have been smitten ever since. We call Hampton Roads, Virginia "home", but after graduating highschool, felt that the rest of the world had much more to offer. (Ah, young and stupid ;) We packed the few belongings we each had and made a move to North Carolina... "breaking free". I followed Glenn wherever the job moved us...never "settling" or staying long enough to make friends. In October 2006, Glenn was working long hours as a restaraunt manager in North Carolina. The money was great and he loved his job, but our family was coming in second place. It didn't take long for us to realize that we needed to make a big change. For our marriage and our children. We prayed as a family for God to provide us with a productive, enriching, goal-oriented path. We decided to move back to Virginia (where we initially moved from six years prior) in order to be closer to family and to feel as if we had some 'roots'. Turns out, it's the best decision we could have made! Glenn applied at every 9-5 job he could and finally got hired at a local credit union with bankers hours and focus on family. The move opened up time for me and my interest in photography. I bought a better camera, took a million photos of my children and through family and friends, started booking sessions! I wasn't looking to have a business at all but as my phone kept ringing and the e-mails kept rolling in...I decided to embrace my passion and turn it into something that would benefit my family. It wasn't long before I stumbled across my first wedding. I fell in love with the passion and romance in the pictures and was hooked. Ever since, I've done everything from children's portraiture to maternity to weddings, etc. God's plan really is bigger than anything I could have ever imagined!

We have been in Virginia almost two years and are members of an awesome church, have made life-long friendships, attend all the holiday family gatherings and really enjoy the quality time we have as a family. Board games, evening sandcastles on the beach, camping in the backyard and grilling out are just a few of our favorite/regular activities. I couldn't ask for anything more than I have right now. It's a great feeling to know that this is "just the beginning...".
